Jake Roberts is being prosecuted by British officials for animal neglect of his pet snake Damien, according to Tuesday's issue of the UK Sun newspaper. RSPCA officials removed the snake from Roberts' home London Colney, Herts after a tip that it was being starved. The Burmese python died several days later, according to the Sun. Roberts, 50, has been living in the United Kingdom for some time, working various independent events. He denied the charges but faces jail time of up to six months if convicted.
