Heh I slept so much that Dad had to wake me up. Well geez it's SUMMER, and a SATURDAY and they made me stay up an extra hour so they could get online. Anyway. Now they're fighting and apparently it has something to do with Robby wanting him to take Dad to dinner tomorrow for his birthday-- that I don't mind. They rarely do anything alone so let them-- but Mom has a fit cause it leaves her outta the loop. Oooooh Snakebat joined GS. Awesome. There's this thing on my menu. . . lol. It was only last week that the Vermont-based band Phish called it quits after 21 years, and now another rock act has done the same.
After a decade of making hits, the members of Creed have decided to go their separate ways, reports Billboard.com.
Lead singer Scott Stapp says, "Creed was one of the most amazing journeys through music and friendship I am blessed to say I was a part of."
While making their stamp on the music world, the band's three albums sold 30 million units worldwide.
Although the members of Creed will no longer be jamming together, they will start other projects.
"It's kind of sad to end a chapter of your life, but it's also exciting to be starting a new one," Creed songwriter/guitarist Mark Tremonti says in a statement.
Along with Tremonti, Creed drummer Scott Phillips, original Creed bassist Brian Marshall and former Mayfield Four singer/songwriter Myles Kennedy, will start a new project called Alter Bridge.
The band's debut album will be released August 10.
Songwriter/singer Stapp is continuing his work on a solo debut album with producer 7 Aurelius, and will get a little help from the Canadian rock band Tea Party.
A Creed greatest hits compilation will be released later this year.
